Gentlemen,
Among the many things that we learned last night, we discovered that the story of Ruth is a beautiful glimpse of God’s grace, couched within a terrible time in Israel’s history. To facilitate your preparation for next Monday’s study, here are several questions for you to consider:
- What caused the “famine in the land”? How might this be significant?
- What is the significance of so many characters being identified by name?
- Was Elimelech’s trek to Moab a step of faith or unbelief?
- What do these passages teach us about Israel’s difficulties with Moab?
- Gen. 19:30-38
- Num. 22-24
- Num. 25:1-9
- Deut. 23:3-6
- Judges 3:15-30
We meet at 7 pm, at Biola University’s education center in Laguna Hills. If you are new to our study, there’s a link to a map and directions on the right-side toolbar.
Let’s start the dessert rotation again, from the top, in alphabetical order by first names. Bob, are you up for that?
See you Monday, September 21st!
