God’s Grace During Debauched Days

Gentlemen,

Among the many things that we learned last night, we discovered that the story of Ruth is a beautiful glimpse of God’s grace, couched within a terrible time in Israel’s history.  To facilitate your preparation for next Monday’s study, here are several questions for you to consider:

  1. What caused the “famine in the land”?  How might this be significant?
  2. What is the significance of so many characters being identified by name?
  3. Was Elimelech’s trek to Moab a step of faith or unbelief?
  4. What do these passages teach us about Israel’s difficulties with Moab?
  • Gen. 19:30-38
  • Num. 22-24
  • Num. 25:1-9
  • Deut. 23:3-6
  • Judges 3:15-30

We meet at 7 pm, at Biola University’s education center in Laguna Hills. If you are new to our study, there’s a link to a map and directions on the right-side toolbar.

Let’s start the dessert rotation again, from the top, in alphabetical order by first names.  Bob, are you up for that?

See you Monday, September 21st!
